This cold war between these two fanbases results in some of the most intense yet hilarious interactions on the internet. As avid followers of each game, try their hardest to prove to the other that their IP is better. From gameplay, art style, graphics, and skins, the wild fans of CSGO and Valorant are always ready to argue with each other on any of these topics.
Though there are some similarities in the core gameplay, there is no reason to compare Valorant and CSGO. Both of the games present something unique to the table on their own rights. But loyal fans of the series don’t seem to agree with this sentiment much.
Valorant and CSGO fans start online banter about skins as the $400,000 weapon goes on sale
On November 21, 2022, online game journalist Jake Lucky, reported news through his official Twitter account. In a tweet, he reported, “This is officially the most expensive AK-47 skin in CSGO, and it’s now up for sale.” He added, “The owner is accepting bids starting at $400,000… and already has multiple interested parties.”

In the reply section of the tweet, Valorant fans poured in to give their takes. One fan simply said that Valorant offers better skins for much lower prices. They said, “Valorant gives you literally a dragon skin for $20.” CSGO fans quickly retorted with, “which a million other people have and you can’t trade it for anything, it’s worth 0$”.
And the bickering continued:
Right, because a videogames intent is to produce a scarcity marketplace for items that also invites money laundering so everyone can earn money from it… broo I don't even wanna finish this conversation because it's so dumb..

How did other fans react to this interaction?
On November 22, Jake himself posted screenshots of the whole conversation between CSGO and Valorant fans on his Twitter account. He wrote in the caption, “CSGO community debating the Valorant community over in-game skins will legit, never get old to me.”
Many fans poured in the replies to give their thoughts on the whole situation. Some sided with Valorant, others with CSGO. but there were many who just commented on how absurd the whole argument is and made fun of both parties.

You get your enjoying from making money
Others get enjoyment from the skins in the game
It’s subjective

I’m not sorry, Val skins don’t have shit on a good collection of Counter-Strike skins. No amount of Dragon guns and animations can make me feel the same. Collecting CS skins is a joy. pic.twitter.com/6l0YDl1aOv

VALORANT = Much better visuals, no monetary value, pure cosmetic.
CSGO = Collector item, repetitive and limited visuals but have monetary and sentimental value, also a status indicator.
I believe they are way too different to be compared even though both called "skins"
