Pokimane has given her honest opinion about streamers shifting from one platform to another, and it looks like great advice. The past couple of days has been quite eventful for the streaming world as Twitch released its fresh set of guidelines and terms of service. Apparently, creators were looking forward to it as it was their final hope for change. After all, Twitch made them suffer for years, having a biased revenue split, limitation of content, perma-bans without factual reasons, and more. So, this was their one golden opportunity, wishing for things to change. Alas! it went down the drain as Twitch’s new TOS disrupted the media.
Streamers raged on the internet, announcing to switch from Twitch to various platforms. And well, some big names walked out, with the remaining ones voicing their opinions. One of them was Pokimane, who spoke on how other platforms could never match Twitch.

After spending over two weeks away from Twitch, Pokimane marked her return with an IRL stream. Her hiatus was unknown, but the first stream post caught the attention of thousands of fans. This is because Pokimane gave her two cents on other streaming platforms amidst the Twitch controversy.
She started off by referring to Mixer, Microsoft’s long-lost platform. “It just reminds me a lot of, like, Mixer, a year or two ago. I’m not so sure… okay. Actually, this might be kind of a hot take. I have yet to be impressed by any other platform for streaming.” It felt like Poki was not in favor of people making the big jump as she believed Twitch had more potential.
Plus, she did agree that the platform made some terrible mistakes recently, but the big change wasn’t required. “Obviously, yes, Twitch has done a lot of disappointing things as of late. But, for me, the real indicator that a streaming platform is viable is if I see a smaller creator pop off on that platform,” she added. According to her, the other platforms could not build creators like Twitch, so, the big names walking out was no big deal.

Last but not least, Pokimane also spoke about Youtube in her concluding bit. She said that Youtube was a platform where creators needed a well-established channel before they hopped onto it, so Twitch was everyone’s next.
Now, the question lies, will Pokimane ever leave Twitch or will she simply continue her journey?
