In the current Twitch sphere, one of the most well-known and significant streamers is none other than Félix Lengyel, aka xQc. He is known for his casual “lil-bro” like charm and aggressive verbiage. But many of his fans are oblivious to the fact that other than being a streamer, xQc used to be a prominent figure in the Overwatch competitive scene

In the early stages of his online career, Felix used to play a lot of Overwatch in his streams. All his long-time fans may remember, even in streams, Felix used to show some real skills in the game. These skills were fully fleshed out in the pro circuits when he got the backing of other pro players in his squads and showed his true potential.

xQc and his history as Overwatch pro

Felix played his first professional game of Overwatch back in 2017. He was signed on team Q? Which was later acquired by Denial eSports. X helped Denial eSports win two tournaments and secure the 3rd position in the North American charts. Later that year, Felix joined the Dallas Feuls

He played for Dallas Feuls in the Inaugural Season of the Overwatch League in 2018. There he was highly praised for his skills and his timing sense for pulling off an ult in the perfect moments. But unfortunately, his time in the limelight of the Overwatch Inaugural Season was cut short, due to his suspension.

When Dallas Feuls lost to Houston Outlaws, X made some offensive comments about one of the members of the outlaws, Muma. Because of this, the League was compelled to suspend xQc from the tournament and fined him $2000. Following the controversy, the team of Dallas Feuls also officially banned Felix from their team.

But that wasn’t the end for xQc. Later he joined the Overwatch World Cup and represented Canada. He helped the national team reach the finals on many occasions and also bagged the World Cup MVP award.

X may not have been very active in the professional scene in recent years, but he had still some connections with pro-Overwatch organizations. Felix joined as an official content creator for the Sentinels from 2019 to 2020 and after that, he joined Luminosity Gaming from 2020 to 2023. The official Twitter page of Luminosity Gaming made a public announcement of the streamer’s departure from the organization
