Earlier this month, Xbox revealed a thrilling Game Pass lineup for September 2021, with Astria Ascending and Unsighted launching on 30 September and Phoenix dropping on the 1st of October.
But Xbox also had something else in mind for all Marvel fans and Xbox owners out there. The devs announced that a former PlayStation exclusive, Marvel’s Avengers, will now be coming to Xbox consoles, Cloud, and PC for Game Pass subscribers.
Xbox Game Pass: what will Marvel’s Avengers bring to the platform?

Crystal Dynamics‘ Marvel’s Avengers brought the king of Wakanda, T’Challa, to the game in what was arguably the title’s biggest updates in terms of content. The War for Wakanda Expansion was originally announced at Square Enix’s E3 2021, with another trailer later announcing the release date, August 17, 2021.

Although the update was free, it certainly did not perform as well as the developers had expected it to. In the coming months, the title struggled to maintain an audience. On the other end, Xbox owners often questioned the decision of not making Marvel’s Avengers available on Xbox and PC.

This new announcement will work in favor of both parties. Who knows, this might even breathe a second life into the expansion. Along with Black Panther, Hawkeye will also be available to all Game Pass subscribers with no additional charges. However, if you wish to play the Endgame Edition, you will have to purchase the premium content for $20.
Unfortunately, days after that, the developers announced their plans for PlayStation exclusive DLC, Spider-Man, Xbox owners will not get to witness or even get a taste of their friendly neighborhood Spidey. The character has always been a Sony exclusive and appears in Marvel productions courtesy of mutual agreement.

Marvel’s Avengers comes to Game Pass on September 30, 2021, along with a quad XP event that kicks off the same day and ends on October 4, 2021. The event aims to celebrate one year of the title’s release and will offer players various rewards.
