During a recent candid interview with the popular Japanese video gaming magazine Famitsu, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, spilled some beans on the Xbox blueprint for the next few years. The highlight of all the revelations he made during the interaction was the company’s plans to bring more first-party titles. Apparently, a promising exclusive schedule is already set for the next few years.
“Over the next two to three years, we plan to release a first-party blockbuster or highly anticipated title roughly every three months. We are very excited and looking forward to that. In fact, it is undeniable that there was a slight gap in the provision of first-party titles until 2022 with what users wanted, but in 2023 there will be titles such as “Hi-Fi RUSH”, “Starfield “, As for “Forza Motorsport”, I’m really looking forward to next season,” Phil Spencer stated as published by the source.
Adding to that, the creator also talked about how the success of Starfield has inspired Microsoft to work on more first-party titles. “Regarding Starfield, it is the first new IP project for Todd Howard and Bethesda Game Studio in 25 years, so I would like to congratulate him on his achievements. It has more than 10 million players worldwide and has enjoyed great success. I think it’s a big deal to release a blockbuster like this, and Starfield is off to a really good start. Going forward, it’s important that we continue to provide Xbox players with great games every year,” the CEO stated.
