Xbox Series X has finally got an answer to Sony’s tech demos from last year that utilized and presented the seemingly unending potential of Unreal Engine 5. Gamers wondered for a long time why Xbox hadn’t done something similar to show off how great stuff could look running on the Unreal Engine on the Xbox Series X. Well, thanks to the developers of Gears of War, The Coalition, Xbox fans can finally find out just how good the graphics can look when a game is running Unreal Engine 5.

The Coalition made not one but two videos that showcase just how brilliant the graphics look with Unreal Engine 5. The videos sure do look amazing; there will be no dispute about that. But, compared to the tech demos PlayStation got last year, these videos are shorter. That doesn’t really seem to matter though as the videos get the point of how great games look on the Unreal Engine across just fine.

The first video shows a decrepit location containing an enclosed diamond-shaped object that eventually produces a bright light that swallows everything. People seem to agree the environmental details look super realistic. Even the dust looks great!

The second video shows off the potential of the Engine, through a character rendering test. The video shows the character from various different angles. And the purpose here is to emphasize the different aspects of the character from a design perspective. The result: the character looks brilliant and, just like everything in the other video, super realistic.
