The Xbox Series X Mini Fridge that started off as a meme has gained enough traction and is a real thing now. The concept started out as a Twitter joke between Xbox and Skittles, but now, the mini-fridge seems to have exceeded all expectations. The product was sold out immediately after its pre-order launch and has become a fan-favorite appliance.

Xbox Mini-Fridge meme turned into reality

The concept for this mini-fridge emerged as a joke when Skittles and Xbox engaged in a battle of brands on Twitter. Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg said that he would turn this meme into a reality, given Xbox won this battle. Of course, Xbox went on to win the battle and now fans can enjoy the Series X look-alike mini-fridge in their kitchens.

This mini-fridge will be hitting the stores in December and will cost $99.99. This product will be available exclusively at Target in the US. It will also be available in stores in the UK, Europe, and Canada as well. The sad part regarding the sales is how scalpers have managed to ruin everything again. They have already started listing the product on eBay, selling it at thrice the amount of the retail price.

Scalpers have started listing the pre-orders for the Mini-Fridge on eBay and these cost around £279.99. This is a great concern for both scalpers and the buyers as eBay’s policy warrants 30 day delivery for all products.

Right now, December is way beyond 30 days and both the buyers and scalpers will incur a loss this way. So this doesn’t happen, eBay has started removing such listings because of their void nature; Scalpers had also listed the Steam-Deck on eBay when it was available for pre-order.

Besides this, Xbox Series X consoles Halo: Infinite edition has received a surprise restock on the Xbox website. This offer is available on the  Xbox website for $549.99.
