Nintendo is set to bring the classic Goldeneye 007 back to the Switch console and that too with extra features that will make the game even better. But there was also an announcement that got unnoticed, the return of the same game with Xbox Pass.

Goldeneye 007 to return for both Xbox and Nintendo

Although the game in itself is a classic, the developers of the original 1997 game, Nintendo, were excited to launch the HD remake of the game on its Nintendo Switch console. Rare Ltd. the company behind the development of the original N64 game is the one remaking it for Nintendo but is also making it for Xbox as well.

This announcement was made by Rare Ltd. themselves, who were excited to launch the HD remake to the fans along with much smoother frame rates, 4K resolution, achievements, and even the local split-screen feature.

Although fans were excited about the split screen feature for the online playing experience, insider Tom Henderson hinted that the online feature might not be available for the Xbox Game Pass. This brought a lot of backlash as even after so many years, fans couldn’t play their favorite game in online multiplayer.

Why is Goldeneye 007 so much hyped?

The sales for the 1997 game reveal a lot about the 1995 James Bond-inspired video game. With almost eight million units sold worldwide, the game at that time became the third most sold N64 game. According to reports, the game grossed over $250 million worldwide.
