Recently, Xbox changed its official Twitter profile picture for the PC Game Pass account, and the new image hints at a future release of a former PlayStation exclusive. This game is none other than Hideo Kojima’s blockbuster, post-apocalyptic sci-fi title Death Stranding.

Hideo Kojima unveiled his ambitious project nearly three years ago when it was first launched for PlayStation 4. Following a huge success, it also received a PS5 version with a Director’s Cut last year. Moreover, PC gamers also got it earlier in 2022 with enhanced graphics and brand new features.

Now it looks like Death Stranding is headed for the Xbox Game Pass service. At least, that’s what Twitter is suggesting, thanks to some convincing theories and explanations. The official account of PC Game Pass recently changed its main profile picture.

What’s interesting to observe about this profile picture is that it looks very much identical to the landscapes in Death Stranding, as reported by Gamerant. This point was clearly revealed by several Twitter users after PC Game Pass deliberately shared the update, in case anyone missed noticing the change.

The foggy landscape appears like the one seen in Death Stranding, as many people tried to compare the profile picture with that of the PlayStation exclusive’s post-apocalyptic world.

Moreover, the tweet from Xbox’s PC Game Pass account is also, indirectly, teasing a new addition. Maybe it’s the game from Hideo Kojima himself.

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft reveals Death Stranding for the Game Pass or not. Even if that’s the case, it won’t happen in August since the line-up for this month is already out. However, they may bring a surprise for the fans in the near future.
