It’s often unsurprising to see games removed from various storefronts. This usually happens because of many issues, the biggest being some sort of licensing. One Xbox Classic was removed from its storefront a few years ago. The game was one of the unique titles to hit that store, and publisher Sega had to remove it from there.

Lucky for Xbox Game Pass users, the game is making a comeback, too, in the library of this beloved game subscription service’s library.

Xbox Game Pass owners can now enjoy Sega’s The Cave from next week onwards

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass has proven itself to be a boon for gamers who like trying their games. After paying just a month’s subscription fee, gamers can help themselves to the numerous games available in this library.

These games range from huge triple-A titles to some unique, unheard-of minor games. The Cave falls into the latter category, a small 2D adventure title that takes players on a memorable adventure. An adventure unlike any other they have had ever before.

The game is developed by Double Fine Productions, the legendary developer of the Psychonauts series, and published by Sega. They released this game in 2013 for almost every platform. Although it initially got a mixed reception, it currently stands at Very Positive on the Steam store.

As for the game itself, it is a 2.5D Adventure Puzzle Platformer that has Co-op built into its core. The Cave puts players in a cave, as the name suggests, but only this cave talks. And people come into this cave in hopes of learning more about their lives. Players choose three such people from a roster of seven characters.

As players venture deeper, the game basically turns into a Metroidvania where players collect more objects to advance in the story.

Seven different characters and the possibility to choose different characters each time means this game holds some high levels of re-playability. Hence, it would be a fun time for someone looking for hours of fun. It also introduces some kind of philosophical take on the typical adventure genre.
