The Tokyo Game Show is around the corner and apparently, Xbox has big plans for it. The event takes place from September 30th to October 3rd, 2021, and every publisher will get 50 minutes to show fans what they’ve got along with their announcements.
Although the games for the event have not been disclosed yet, Xbox promises its fans “exclusive news”. Microsoft’s showcasing will be on an opening day on September 30 at 2 am PST / 10 am BST / 6 pm JST.
What can fans expect from the devs in TGS?

Much like other events such as Gamescom and E3, the Tokyo Game Show will be streamed on platforms. The official program for TGS was announced earlier today, and it includes publishers like Square Enix, Capcom, and many others apart from Microsoft.

As we move close towards the launch date of Halo: Infinite, it will be interesting to see what the developers have to say at the new event. The FPS game releases this winter on December 8th. Surprisingly, the launch date actually leaked on one of Microsoft’s online stores. Ahead of the title’s launch, 343 industries also confirmed another technical preview for fans to experience. It wouldn’t be out of the blue if Microsoft decides to drop more news regarding the next open beta.

The growth in popularity of Xbox in Japan
Ever since the release of the next-gen consoles Xbox Series X|S, gamers in Japan have started to consider Xbox as a viable option. The console previously struggled to compete with PlayStation and Nintendo in Japan’s market. But after the launch, Microsoft has been engaged in promoting what it has to offer. The publisher held its first Tokyo Game Show showcasing to promote the Series X|S.
