Xbox Game Pass is one of Xbox’s most popular services. By paying a monthly fee, fans get access to a subscription which gives them the chance to play a plethora of games available as part of the deal. Given most titles cost somewhere between the $60-$70 price range, the service is quite handy, especially because you get to keep the games as long as you stay subscribed. With Xbox adding games monthly, the lineup for July 2023 looks quite exciting. Here are the titles Xbox plans to add to the Game Pass for the month of July.

Arcade Paradise

First, on the list, Arcade Paradise is exactly what the name implies. The game takes place in an arcade located in a small backroom. Players take control of a laundromat employee who creates their dream arcade in the backroom out of boredom. It features mini-games that are quite enjoyable. Arcade Paradise brings the retro feeling of visiting an arcade to play games, taking players on a small trip down memory lane. Alongside playing mini-games at the arcade, players also have to complete tasks as laundromat employees. It will the first title to be added in July on July 3rd.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever

Fans of JRPGs can celebrate. Sword and Fairy: Together Forever finally comes on Xbox. The game features stunning visuals, real-time combat, and most importantly, not having to play past titles to know what is going on. The game borrows heavily from Chinese mythology, blending them well with traditional Oriental aspects. The gameplay is fast-paced, with players taking on demons and other enemies while questing through a large open world. It is a game waiting for players to come and explore it. Sword and Fairy: Together Forever comes to Xbox Game Pass on July 5th.

Exoprimal

If you are a fan of Jurassic Park films, you will love this entry. Capcom announced the game back in March. In the title, players take control of an exo-suit recruit as they navigate a story filled with twists and turns, with time playing a massive role. You can fight hordes of dinosaurs, trying to piece out who is responsible for the rift created in time. Exoprimal will release on July 14th.

Techtonica

The next game on the list is a unique title. Set under the surface of an alien planet, Techtonica is one of the first factory automation games. The entire idea is to set up a base. On this base, players can create different factories, harvest resources, or look for new technologies. Essentially, you can create your own town using automation. However, there is another side to the game. As you make your way through, you discover long-lost secrets as the story unfolds around you. You can get the game as part of the Xbox Game Pass on July 18th.

The Wandering Village

Similar to Techntonica, The Wandering Village is a city-building game. However, what sets it apart is that the city is on the back of a giant creature. What adds to the experience is the whole setting being in a post-apocalyptic world, filled with poisonous plants. While the game contains features you would expect from a city-building experience, the entire process includes the creature on whose the city is built. As a result, the process creates a symbiotic relationship with the giant creature. This may reflect in the form of boosts, abilities, and different builds based on the way you play the game. The Wandering Village comes to the Xbox Game Pass on release, on July 20th.

Venba

The next game on this list is different from other titles here. It does not feature combat or ask you to create entire cities. It is a narrative experience based on cooking. Players take control of an Indian mom, who recently immigrated to Canada along with her family. Fans can cook recipes, cooking a plethora of dishes. The gameplay looks simple yet diverse. Because the game revolves around cooking, fans can perform tasks such as making cuts to fish and so on. Along the way, Venba uses cooking as a way of telling the family’s story of love and loss. You can explore family relationships through conversations and find lost recipes as the story goes deeper into the history of the family. Venba is the final release confirmed for July’s Xbox Game Pass. It releases on July 30th.
