The PC system requirements needed by the Bethesda title are surprising

Esports journalist Tom Warren shared some screenshots from Starfield’s Steam page on Twitter stating, “The Steam listing for Starfield says an SSD is required”. Furthermore, the title also demanded 125 GB of free storage needed to run smoothly on the PC. Warren also pointed out Steam listings aren’t always the most reliable ones to refer to. He urges fans to wait till Bethesda confirms or denies the Steam minimum and recommended specs.

The minimum system requirement of the game on Steam contains the following things.

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 125 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD Required

These requirements have bamboozled many fans. Fans are asking if these are the minimum requirements, what will be the final requirements to run the game smoothly? Currently, the minimum requirements are very close to the recommended requirements. The Steam listing definitely ought to change once the game hits the market.
