The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase turned out to be a huge event on Sunday with tons of exciting and exclusive reveals. However, the event became even more amazing when Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima made an appearance.

It’s a known fact that Hideo Kojima likes to work independently. But he also loves to work alongside major companies possessing the technology he requires for any of his ambitious projects. Along with having a great experience with Sony’s PlayStation, the famous game designer decided to have a collaboration with the Xbox Game Studios.

Although it looks like the hardcore PlayStation fanboys didn’t like it and wasted no time in throwing backlash on the creator. However, Kojima also received tremendous support from other players and gaming enthusiasts over his decision to join the Xbox.

Perhaps the criticism grew too much to handle for the Kojima Productions after the designer’s appearance in the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.

Following a continuous backlash, the official Twitter account of the studio had to issue a message to all the fans through a tweet. It mentioned that despite the partnership with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios, their team still has “A very good partnership with PlayStation® as well.”

All things considered, it was quite unexpected and sad to see the studio issuing such a statement.

This sentiment was reflected in some of the users’ tweets on social media, replying to Kojima Productions. Amidst the negative remarks from PlayStation fanatics, other gaming lovers came in full support of Hideo Kojima. They simply wanted a great game from him, be it on the Xbox, PlayStation, or any other platform.

In other news, Hideo Kojima is also rumored to work on a horror game called Overdose. It’s expected to feature actress, Margaret Qualley, who played the role of Mama in the creator’s 2019 hit Death Stranding.
