All things considered, it was quite unexpected and sad to see the studio issuing such a statement.
This sentiment was reflected in some of the users’ tweets on social media, replying to Kojima Productions. Amidst the negative remarks from PlayStation fanatics, other gaming lovers came in full support of Hideo Kojima. They simply wanted a great game from him, be it on the Xbox, PlayStation, or any other platform.

Save your breath the people throwing hate aren't worth the response, exclusives always cause hate.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you have dreamed up this time, wondering why the microsoft cloud was vital to this games design?
Hopefully see something more on this soon.— CHRONIC (@CHRONIC_UK) June 13, 2022
You didn't need to address the loud minority – you're a multiplat studio – have fun making games – ignore the toxic fans that force you to make statements like this.

I don't care if you partner with Microsoft, Nintendo or whoever pays the bills, if they give you freedom I'm all in. What worries me is the cloud thing. Sounds like an always online game, meaning a game that someday will disappear. And that's terrible.
