The excitement of Xbox fans is at an all-time high, thanks to the imminent release of Starfield. Even after a GTA 6 fan tried to trash it, this future Bethesda IP remained the star of Gamescom 2023. Todd Howard, director of Starfield, and organizer Geoff Keighley delivered the presentation to intrigued fans.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer was also present. After the presentation, Spencer revealed a lot of exciting takes on the upcoming sci-fi title. And his review of Starfield has taken fans’ excitement to a whole new level.

Phil Spencer shared his opinions on the upcoming Bethesda title after the Gamescom 2023 presentation. Like every other fan, he is also super-excited about this title to come out. Being the CEO of Xbox, however, has its own perks. Spencer has already received a copy of the game to try out since last year.

“So I think I’m on my fifteenth playthrough,” the Xbox CEO shared, “I’m probably 200 hours in.” He was also quick to clarify his gameplay time does not account for one playthrough but all of them combined.

Phil Spencer has also been playing the game since its inception. Since November 2022, the Xbox CEO has been playing the game and has seen it grow in front of his eyes.

Spencer shares his character traits in-game

Starfield offers players to choose from a wide list of character traits and classes they want. This customization option allows players to explore the sci-fi title the way they want, be it a run-and-gun type of gameplay or stealth gameplay.

And the gameplay style of Xbox CEO is an uncommon one.

Furthermore, Spencer has dropped his personal review for the upcoming Bethesda title by comparing it to their earlier titles. He has boldly claimed Starfield is more like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion than the next entry of the series The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Whether Starfield is like the fourth or the fifth Elder Scrolls title or is a completely new type of game, will be revealed on September 6 when it comes out on Xbox Series X/S. Despite comparing it to early Bethesda titles, Spencer believes it is an epic game that deserves the love of fans.
