Phil Spencer, the chief of Xbox just revealed a huge fact about the performance of the present generation consoles of his company. And it seems like the news is positive, especially for those who love Xbox gaming. While speaking on a podcast show, Mr. Spencer spoke about various aspects of Xbox and the issues related to it.

Fans of the console will be glad to know that Xbox Series X and Series S have so far sold more than their previous generation counterparts. That’s according to chief Phil Spencer himself. Simply put, the latest series has been profitable since its debut in comparison to Xbox One.

Phil Spencer speaks on the latest Xbox series

During his interaction with New York Times’ Kara Swisher, on her podcast episode from Sway, Phil Spencer answered various questions. When asked about how the performance of the consoles, in terms of supply, has been due to the ongoing situations and also the chip shortage, he said:

“Supply is actually as big as it’s ever been. It’s that demand is exceeding the supply for all of us.”

It means that people have shown interest in buying more of the consoles in the last few years. And the demand is unaffected no matter the current scenario. But the demand has been so high that the company has found it difficult to keep up with more orders.

Moreover, he also said that as far as the Xbox devices are concerned, Series X and Series S are selling very well. In fact, as per Spencer, the present generation has sold more than the previous series.

“At this point, we’ve sold more of this generation of Xboxes, which is Xbox Series X and S, than we had any previous version of Xboxes.”

Well, it is clear now that the PlayStation’s direct rival has been performing well in terms of sales. And that everything else is also moving in a positive manner for Phil Spencer and his team.

In that case, fans will surely wait for some big announcements later this year, just like 2021’s E3. As for the Xbox, the new series will be key to have when awaited titles like S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, Redfall, and Starfield release later this year.
