Over the past few weeks, rumors of a brand new PlayStation subscription service have been making the rounds across the industry. Despite the news still being unofficial, it seems like the possibility of its debut is almost certain now. However, Xbox chief Phil Spencer is not afraid of its rivals at Sony, in case they come up with any new offer for the gamers.
The Xbox boss recently had a media interaction where he talked about the Game Pass and the growing competition around it. Interestingly, he also specifically spoke about PlayStation as well and its alleged unknown service that has curious people excited.

Xbox Game Pass is not afraid of PlayStation!
Phil Spencer has been quite confident about his products and their strengths. He believes that Xbox brand, in its entirety, is doing great at the moment despite some major obstacles.
During a recent interview, when asked about the rumored PlayStation subscription service and its impact on Xbox Game Pass, as reported by VGC, he said:
“So when I hear others doing things like Game Pass or coming to PC, it makes sense to me because I think that’s the right answer.”
He meant that ultimately it’s the gamers who are going to get the advantage due to having more options in terms of brand new title releases. Adding further, he also said that he would like his rivals to come up with similar ways like Xbox Game Pass to provide latest games on Day 1 itself.
“I expect that’s what our competitor will do.”

As for the PlayStation‘s rumored subscription service, it’s codenamed ‘Spartacus,’ according to the reports so far. It’s said to eventually combine PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now into an expanded version. Plus, the service will have an aggressive approach in order to offer more video games to its users. Similar to what the Xbox Game Pass is doing right now.
The alleged Xbox Game Pass rival is expected to arrive this spring. Gamers will surely have a blast if PlayStation eventually comes out with such a subscription-based portal. That way, gamers will be able to try out an endless amount of new titles.
