Microsoft and Special Olympics have been working together for years to promote the participation of athletes in the Special Olympics. In 2018, Xbox partnered with Special Olympics USA Games and hosted the Xbox Gaming Tournament. And now, three years later, Xbox’s partnership with Special Olympics will bring fans one of the biggest events of the year. Gaming for Inclusion will feature big names from NFL, NBA and WWE, and the participants will play with their heroes.
As a gaming event, the event will most definitely have video games. The games that will be featured during the days of the event will be Rocket League, Forza Motorsport 7, and Madden NFL. And each of these games will get its own tournament and present one winner. And these winners will get to play with the likes of popular celebrities like Jayson Tatum and Jamaal Charles.

When will this Xbox and Special Olympics event happen?
The official Xbox site reveals the event will take place next month. September 12-14 are the days the Special Olympics athletes will get to play the aforementioned games. And the winners will play with their favorite celebrities on September 18. The first day of the event, Sept 12, will see athletes compete in the Rocket League tournament. On day 2, participants will play the racing game Forza Motorsport 7. And on day 3, they will play in the Madden NFL tournament.

Since the presentation is by Microsoft, players can play the games only on Xbox. The chief motive behind this event, as mentioned on the official site is, “to showcase the power of inclusion through gaming.” Gaming brings people together. It also provides people with the chance to interact with other people. And Xbox’s and Special Olympics’ attempt at showcasing how much potential there is in gaming is admirable. And fans of sports and gaming are certainly excited.
