Xbox dropped exclusive news, which might give fans a little comfort after the company’s ban on unauthorized accessories. Recently Xbox announced that they will no longer let players use third-party gadgets with their latest Xbox device. But there is a little twist in the matter. Yes, Xbox’s adaptive controller might see an escape from this ban.
Now gamers look up to console modifications and licensed accessories are truly expensive. This is when they opt for third-party objects, which are much cheaper in the market. While Xbox adaptive controllers are not cheap, they cost almost half the price of original Xbox licensed products. That is why Xbox’s recent news has brought a ray of sunshine among fans.

Recently Xbox users flooded the internet asking about an unknown error “0x82d60002”, which was more like an update message. While this message scared users saying after November using third-party accessories would block their devices, Xbox soon revealed its new policy. In this policy, they applied the ban from the 12th of November.
However, there is a small catch! Microsoft’s recent announcement revealed that Xbox Adaptive Controller users will not face this error- “There is no impact to players using the Xbox Adaptive Controller and any peripherals plugged into the Xbox Adaptive Controller’s USB and 3.5MM ports. This includes both licensed Designed for Xbox devices listed on the Accessories Hub Page, as well as those that currently connect with the Xbox Adaptive Controller.”
UPDATE: Microsoft has clarified that the new restrictions on third-party Xbox accessories will NOT apply to devices connected via the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
