Finally, fans are getting what they have wanted for a long time now. Rumors suggest Xbox is getting two brand new games with dragons. Back at the beginning of 2021, Window Central claimed that Hitman Studio is working on a brand new game (like Destiny) that would feature some really cool dragons. Note that this information is not officially confirmed yet but noted insider Jeff Grubb said that there are two separate projects with dragons and the second one is likely to be an MMO.

Dragons coming to Xbox Games

IGN hosted a podcast where Jeff Grubb stated that there are actually two projects. Aside from the IO Interactive Game with dragons in it, there is another separate game that features dragons and it is very much similar to an MMO. However, Grubb doesn’t really disclose anything about this mysterious studio that is making this new dragon game.

”There is a sort of MMO thing in the works. And then there is the IO Interactive thing and then there are two separate projects. ‘‘

Heavily featured, multiplayer online game

For the IO Interactive dragon game, Jeff Grubb said that it is more like a ”behind the back, Destiny style kind of thing’‘. Well, this tells a lot about the much-awaited game. If it is something like Destiny, then the game would be a heavily featured, online multiplayer game with a live service element. This sounds like quite a promising game, but fans may have to wait a little longer to get a sneak peek of the game. It also sounds like a third-player game. Although he revealed nothing more about it.

In the IO Interactive case, this delay makes sense, as they are also working on the upcoming James Bond Game. The studio is busy planning the release of the first James Bond Game. This James Bond Game has been already proclaimed. However, it is odd that Microsoft wants to bring two new games which feature dragons, but maybe it is to fill that deep void of Scalebound’s cancelation.
