Call of duty is a largely celebrated video game franchise. Backed by Activision Blizzard, the franchise has enticed gamers with remarkable video game titles. Black Ops, Vanguard, Advanced Warfare, and Modern Warfare are the most loved titles to date. Evidently, the community has left no disappointment in returning the favor for Activision’s newly arrived title, Modern Warfare II.
Call of Duty has welcomed a remarkable achievement for the freshly released title
On October 28, the anticipations in the video gaming community took a rest, as Call of Duty Modern Warfare II got officially launched in the community. Moreover, it left no stone unturned to leave the fans ecstatic. From arsenal to graphics, the game has put up an impressive end result of the three-year suspense. And the sequel to the 2019 title has made a great name on the charts.
As tweeted by the Twitter account, Benji-Sales (@BenjiSales), “Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has broken past 250,000+ Concurrent Players on Steam.” Moreover, he further puts forward that this is by far the biggest launch on Steam for the franchise. Above all, this comes after the game is tagged at a price of $70.
Minor correction I meant to write "by far biggest launch on Steam"
We don't for sure know if it's beaten Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare 2019 since those weren't on Steam
That said it's very likely it has, as Steam is far more popular of a storefront than just Activisions

As projected in an image attached to the tweet, the game received around 255K player strength. Furthermore, Benji-Sales declared, “We don’t for sure know if it’s beaten Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare 2019 since those weren’t on Steam. That said it’s very likely it has, as Steam is far more popular of a storefront than just Activisions”
Evidently, it can be said that the video game has met the expectations of the players. Even though there have been crashing issues in the initial stages, gamers stick to one of the most coveted titles.
The fans have displayed their feelings toward Modern Warfare II
As soon as the above news surfaced on Twitter, fans wasted no time bombarding their feelings about such an achievement. A fan tweeted, “Goes to show 70 isn’t a problem. People pay for quality. Most of these sales will be from players that only buy one or two games a year. A 10 buck increase isn’t a problem.” Thus, clearly depicting that price does not jeopardize the game if it delivers a promising experience. Here are a few reactions of the fans to the tweet:

$70 or not, big franchises will perform well irrespective of the cost.

When I saw the gaming doing 180k+ on twitch I knew it’s gonna be a hit no matter what the critics say.

It is important to note that this achievement comes when the game has not even been on the internet for a handful of days. Therefore, much bigger achievements can be expected from the franchise.
