Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 2 has brought a wave of nostalgia to Battle Royale. The second season of Warzone 2.0 also has a new small map that has been made public by Activision. Since Fortune’s Keep was launched for the original Warzone, Ashika Island is the first new Resurgence map.

On February 15, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 2 will be releasing release, adding Ashika Island for Battle Royale and DMZ to the game. Season 2 will mark a new beginning for DMZ as the impending wipe will reset everyone’s Factional mission tier achievement, remove any Contraband items from player inventories, and add fresh Sector tasks. This upgrade will thus result in significant changes.

This first glimpse of the Ashika Island map on the island was posted by the Call of Duty’s official Twitter account.

Tsuki Castle, Town Center, Beach Club, Port Ahika, Oganikku Farms, Residential, and Shipwreck are just a few of the island’s notable monuments. Screenshots of the many prominent spots on the island were shared by Infinity Ward before the formal announcement.

The Ashika Island map surfaced back in December, but it included little specifics and was swiftly removed by an Activision copyright strike. Now that the map’s initial photos are available online, it is clear that the leaks from the previous weeks were accurate.

The update for the release

It appears that this new map will also support Warzone 2, DMZ, and Ground War modes. The latter mode, which is exclusive to Warzone 2.0 and replaces the first battle royale game, pits teams of players and AI bots against one another in a labeled PvPvE combat.

The big follower Resurgence mode, which is a faster-paced variation of the classic battle royale game that allows players to revive if their teammates survive a countdown, will also be released. The countdown becomes longer with deaths, but is shorter after fatalities and after each gas loop shift. Geography of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep served as Resurgence’s backdrop in the classic Warzone.

New operators, new weaponry, and balancing adjustments will all be included in Warzone 2. Similar to this, Modern Warfare 2 is gaining ranked play, additional maps, and modes.

Seasonal wipes are a part of other evacuation shooters like Escape From Tarkov, although Infinity Ward never announced that DMZ would include them.
