Since her appearance in the Call of Duty series last year, Valeria Garza has turned into a fan-favorite character. Yes, she’s got a negative shade, but that hasn’t stopped players from admiring her ruthless personality. MWII’s story has established her as a force to be reckoned with. Now, with the release of Modern Warfare 3, she’s expected to continue being an evil genius.

However, it looks like the role of Valeria in Modern Warfare 3’s campaign may end up being more than what meets the eye. Her complicated character design is such that one may even see her becoming the main villain. Despite Makarov’s return, who’s the arch nemesis of Task Force 141, the El Sin Nombre may emerge as the ‘ultimate threat’.

Various events prior to MW3’s release indicate that Valeria might be involved with Makarov in more ways than one. Several theories related to the reveal event for Modern Warfare 3 in Warzone, Shadow Siege, suggest that the El Sin Nombre is working with Makarov right now. And that she’s coordinating with him to distribute chemical weapons across Europe.

However, after the conclusion of Shadow Siege, it was revealed that the event was a failure. That’s because Makarov’s men had infiltrated Shadow Company’s team in order to steal gas cannisters. Further, an insider had previously claimed that Valeria and Makarov may end up meeting each other soon. Hence, the villain duo will be insane to witness inside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

However, things may turn upside down too. Valeria is known for her nature of double crossing. In MWII, players have seen that happening a lot. For the uninitiated, she initially helped the original El Sin Nombre to escape and then killed him too. She did that to become the new boss of the Las Almas drug cartel and gain more power eventually.

While Makarov is also a ruthless and smart villain, MW3’s Campaign may show him getting double crossed by Valeria in the end. The reason for the same can’t be determined as of now. However, it’s just a theory right now. But in case she becomes the main antagonist, one can only imagine the amount of chaos she can cause.

What to expect from Modern Warfare 3 Campaign mode?

While the single-player mode will bring back fan-favorite characters, it will also introduce a new feature. Sledgehammer’s team will bring something called open-combat missions to Modern Warfare 3’s Campaign.

The beloved map of Verdansk from 2020’s original Warzone will also return. However, it will only be present in parts for certain missions. Fans should not expect it to come back in its entirety. But for nostalgia seekers, its return will be a treat, nonetheless.
