YouTuber, by the name of Zeltik has but one passion, searching for every piece of lore in the legend of Zelda games. And recently he can be seen researching the trailers of Tears of the Kingdom.

As we mentioned before, the game’s trailers give up very less clear information. But Zeltik seems to have found some really intriguing clues!

He reminds us of that moment in Breath of the Wild where princess Zelda prays to goddess Hylia. She breaks down when she does not get any answer. And then he shows some snippets from the trailer of Tears of the Kingdom. These show carvings of princess Zelda joining hands with Hylia and forming a symbol.

He also points out that the symbol we see behind the Tears of the Kingdom logo represents two dragons eating each other’s tails. This represents a conflict that is preventing Zelda and Hylia from connecting.

And everyone who has ever played a Zelda game knows that they are mostly about circles of life and death. So Zeltik says that maybe this Zelda is in some way Hylia. He also said Link would somehow help her turn into that goddess by either going forward or backward in time.

Backward seems more probable, given the fact that the game’s trailers are set in the present and we can see carvings of Zelda on walls. That means for those carvings to be drawn, Zelda has to exist in the past.

This is very probable too, as Zelda and Hylia have always been connected in one way or the other. But the Hyrule of Breath of the Wild and the Tears of the Kingdom is pretty much destroyed and there are seldom any signs of Hylia in this world.

This can be explained only in one way: Hylia would only exist when Zelda turns into her, and that would obviously mean the end of Zelda. This theory seems logical, but the truth of it would only be revealed when the game is released in May.
