The Tokyo Game Show is finally happening on the biggest-ever scale this September. It has been quite a while since the blockbuster event happened without restrictions. Despite having so many restrictions due to the coronavirus, the 2020 version of the event was filled with exhibitors and game fans. The traditional venue Makuhari Messe is expecting a houseful turnout of gaming fans for the upcoming event.
Video game enthusiasts consider the Tokyo Game Show to be one of the finest celebrations of the gaming community. It is one rare real exhibition that gives a platform to giant developers to showcase future blueprints to players all around the world. Certainly, fans would look forward to interacting one on one with their favorite gaming developers. While the list has plenty of giant brand names, fans are curious to know about Nintendo’s presence at the event.

Finally, Tokyo Game Show organizers Computer Entertainment have released an official list of exhibitors. The list has an exciting brand line that will mark their presence at the event. There were constant speculations about Japan’s own gaming giant Nintendo’s participation at the event. The official release confirms Nintendo to be a part of the Game Show. Although there is more to understand. The lineup mentions the developers would be only part of a business meeting that is supposed to be held in the Business Meeting Area. This means Nintendo wouldn’t be having a general exhibition.

Fans believe the decision was predictable as Nintendo recently had a “supposed” exhibition at Nintendo Direct. Also, hardcore fans of the giant know that maintaining fewer public appearances has helped keep the surreal hype alive. The makers are already having a golden run this year with two successful releases and a blockbuster Direct. Understandably, they wouldn’t want a lot to change. The list also had some other names which build excitement in the community. Bandai Namco, Capcom, HoyoVerse, Koei Tecmo, Konami, Level 5, Xbox, Sega / Atlus, and Square Enix. PlayStation will also mark its presence, but only in the indie area.

The general tickets for the Tokyo Games Show 2023 will be available for purchase for Japanese residents from July 8. The overseas fans will have to wait till the 26th of July for the same. Age restrictions will be removed in 2023, making family-friendly exhibition spaces and children under 12 years old available for the first time since the pandemic’s start.
