When it comes to console gaming, the Nintendo Switch is probably the most beloved, and extremely versatile. While many would argue about its hardware being “not enough”, Nintendo’s portability and games make up for everything! So, it was inevitable for Nintendo fans to ask questions when there was no mention of Nintendo on the Summer Game Fest partner lineup.
As it happens, Summer Game Fest’s official Twitter account released a tweet that mentioned “more than 30 partners” for this year’s event. The upcoming SGF event is slated to happen on June 9, 2022.

Is there a chance of Nintendo showing up at the Summer Game Fest?
@summergamefest’s tweet revealed 31 partners, the list including big names like Activision, Bandai Namco, Sega, 2k, Capcom, Epic Games, and many more. Does Nintendo’s absence from the list mean we won’t see the Japanese giant bragging about its exciting creations at SGF 2022? Well, there’s still a chance!
Here's a look at more than 30 partners that will participate in #SummerGameFest activities across June.

According to the tweet, the 2022 Partner Lineup shown in it, isn’t final. So, we can expect the popular video game company to surprise us on June 9! Then again, it’s just a guess from our side.
But what about Nintendo

If not the Summer Game Fest, fans should definitely get to see a dedicated Nintendo Direct event in the coming months. However, a fan just speculated that Nintendo not featuring in the SGF could mean no Nintendo Direct until September.
The fan also mentioned the possibility of Mini Directs that could, again, save the day. The last Nintendo Direct happened back in February this year.
If they aren’t a part of SGF this year, then it most likely means that we won’t have a Nintendo Direct until September, unless they decide to do Mini Directs like in 2020.

Another fan’s opinion pointed at the possibility of an upcoming Nintendo Direct event this month – right after the Summer Game Fest! It’s also interesting to note that Nintendo’s latest official release – Mario Strikers: Battle League – is happening on June 10, a day after Summer Game Fest.
Nintendo is never a part of these events and they always have a direct when SGF is over
