Currently, there’s a big mystery surrounding Ghost’s ultimate fate in MW3. For the uninitiated, he was initially introduced in 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 by Infinity Ward. Apart from being a blockbuster entry, it also featured multiple sad moments. One of them was Ghost being betrayed by General Shepherd who shot him dead with a 44 Magnum revolver; he was later incinerated in the same sequence.

Now comparing 2022’s MWII with the original, Ghost didn’t die. That was a big change the makers made for the rebooted sub-series. However, with the return of Makarov in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the story may end up getting a major rework in order to give a big shock to the fans. It’s just a theory for now, but the game may see the death of several Task Force 141 members getting killed by Makarov.

Given the fact that the ruthless villain is the arch nemesis of TF141, he won’t stop in order to fulfil his evil objectives. But again, it’s only a speculation. The devs haven’t really talked too much about the Campaign’s story. So it will be intriguing to see what happens to Ghost this time. Fans, however, are definitely not ready to lose him once again.

Who are the other main characters in Modern Warfare 3?

Modern Warfare 3 will bring back all the iconic faces from Task Force 141. Gaz from 2019’s rebooted MW and Soap from last year’s installment will be back. Along with them, players will witness the obvious return of Captain John Price. The man will once again lead his men against Vladimir Makarov.
