However, there’s a lot of speculation as to who might be the main baddie that needs to be dealt with by the wall-crawling superhero from Brooklyn.

Now, a new theory by a YouTuber suggests that we might get to see the offspring of Venom in Spider-Man 2 as well, trying to make life a living hell for Spidey. If that’s indeed the case, we might very well get to witness Spider-Man having to take on the father-son symbiote duo to save New York.

YouTuber notices strange things during Spider-Man 2 early access

Marvel’s Spider-Man was released in 2018 as a PS5 exclusive. The game was received incredibly well by the fans and prompted the devs to dish out a PC version years later. Now, the sequel looks to carry on the predecessor’s legacy and also continue the narrative of the original. Since its announcement, fans have come up with their theories of who we might get to see as the main villain in Spider-Man 2. While some of the antagonists have already been revealed, the main baddie is still a secret. Now, a fan rumor says Carnage, the offspring of Venom, may be something that will catch fans off-guard.

YouTuber BlitzWinger was one of the lucky fans who got to play an early access version of Spider-Man 2 ahead of its launch. From his playthrough, he noticed a few details that just might imply the imminent arrival of Carnage in the game. Carnage is a symbiote, much like his father, but born on Earth. This gives him more grip over Earth’s elements, lending him more power over his father Venom.

The YouTuber claims to have noticed red spirals on the comet that comes to Earth with the symbiote. The red spiral is the trademark of Carnage and we can’t wait to see if the speculation pans out. However, many fans also believe that introducing Carnage in the game before following the symbiote invasion narrative would make more sense.

Spider-Man 2 promises to be something unique

The devs of Spider-Man 2 recently revealed that the game will push the open-world setting further than its predecessor. In the game, players will come across other Spider-Man and can even fight crimes together. We also learned that the game would be similar to the first title in terms of playtime.

Spider-Man 2 will also boast features like slowed-down combat options as well as on-screen captions, that will enhance the immersion significantly. With so much to offer, we believe Spider-Man 2 will be one of the best superhero games ever made.
