It’s finally time, everyone. The much-awaited first wave of remastered racetracks and two cups have made their way to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, unfortunately, players are pretty disappointed with the first course DLC pack.
As per the official announcement, “Get racing with 8 new courses! Wave 1 of the #MarioKart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass is available now! The Booster Course Pass is available for free to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, or can be purchased on its own.”

It’s called marketing strategy!
Why does the booster course banner have everyone in anti gravity when none of the DLC courses feature it? pic.twitter.com/VUZVGPy1Ki

Really disappointing. Cancelled online as it was basically garbage. Won't be paying for more tracks on a game that's years old. Such poor value for money is the main reason my switch is mainly very dusty.

All the pros and cons.
Booster Pass short review:
Pros:
-A new way to experience retro tracks
-Tour tracks gimmicks
-Music remixesCons:
-No anti-gravity
-Clashing art style with the base game tracks
-Contrast and brightness of some of the tracks can be distracting— Adrián 🇵🇦 (@swshriv) March 18, 2022
But…
I don't hate it but I feel like yall didn't even try to put Zero Grav in these levels.. Like we got the bare bones and that's it. Shame

How to download the DLC booster pack?
The entire download process is fairly simple. You can download it from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe product page on Nintendo e-shop for $25. After buying this pack, you will be able to get access to all the Booster Pack as they’re released over time. Alternately, for the subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack, the Booster Course is absolutely free. Note – players can’t purchase the wave individually.
You will be able to enjoy the pack as all as you are an active member of the Online Plus Expansion Pack. To put it simply, if your subscription lapses, your access to the Booster Course will be terminated until you renew the membership.
