It’s been a while since the American-based game developer Avalanche Software announced Hogwarts Legacy, leaving the fans wanting more. Two years back in 2020, the devs launched the stunning reveal trailer for this game.

Over the past few months, the devs have also released further details about the game. But the fans have just one question: why is Harry Potter not in Hogwarts Legacy?

Why is Harry Potter not in the upcoming game?

This question makes a lot of sense because the legendary Harry Potter is no doubt the most prominent part of the legendary school of wizardry. Well, according to the devs, the answer to this question is quite simple. The devs have set the timeline of this upcoming game in the 1800s, meaning Harry Potter is yet to be born.

This also means fans of popular novels/movies/previous games won’t be able to see Hermione or Ron in the upcoming game either. As they too, were born around two centuries too late.

The official trailer for the game was released over a year ago, and while fans are excited about the game, no fixed date for release has been offered to the gaming community just yet. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t rumors going around.

For the past few weeks, there have been many rumors and speculations around this brand-new upcoming game. It’s only because of the wide time gap between now and the time when the reveal trailer was dropped. Recent rumors state that the game’s going to get further delayed. That said, it’s still highly likely the game will be released this year.

For the fans who are unfamiliar with the fact, there’s also an official website of the game. And according to the website’s section of frequently asked questions, the game will release in the year 2022. This means the game is on track for a release this year, as was supposed to be the case.
