In a recent episode of the XboxEra Podcast, game industry pundit Shpeshal Nick, made some bold speculations about GTA VI.

On May 17, Take-Two sent out a press release along with their earnings report for 2023. Take-Two predicted a significant revenue increase in the upcoming 2025 fiscal year.

The company is expecting a $8 billion revenue in net bookings after April 2024. This prediction made multiple fans speculate GTA VI will be coming out in early 2025 or late 2024. However, Shpeshal feels the opposite.

Saying Take-Two will release a big title in 2025’s fiscal year, but it won’t be the latest GTA entry, Nick made remarks,“Everyone thinks it’s GTA VI. I’m going to go against the grain and say I don’t think it’s GTA VI.” And he stated his reasons for it, too.

He then made informed speculation about the arrival of Borderlands’ next entry in 2025. This got the support of his fellow podcast guest Jesse, who confirmed Borderlands 4 voice actors have displayed their work experience on LinkedIn.

Nick believes the 2025 slot is quite premature for the GTA V successor. He believes the game will take a bit more time to complete as Rockstar Games and Take-Two are striving for perfection with this title.
