Sledgehammer’s team has been hyping up Zombies a lot in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Ever since the game was officially revealed to feature the undead, everyone’s been curious to see them in the game itself. Coming as no surprise, the Beta was expected to unleash the open-world experience this month.
However, things haven’t really gone according to expectations. Especially, for those players who were hoping to try out Modern Warfare Zombies during the Beta period. Yes, the traditional Multiplayer experience is available for them. But many of the users wanted to witness what MW3 Zombies would look like.

For the uninitiated, the upcoming mode from this year’s premium Activision game is based on a PvE format. It will require the players to either form teams together or go solo against large hordes of the undead. They will be spread across the open world map of Urzikstan. The main objective of this mode will be to finish certain missions, loot items, and then extract successfully.
There will be multiple Wonder Weapons like Ray Gun, alongside new additions like the Scorcher. One can simply call it a DMZ but with a fusion of Zombies from Black Ops.
Now speaking of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta, the devs haven’t really shared any information on a gameplay based on Zombies. In fact, the official Beta blog from them is also missing details regarding the undead. Simply put, playable content for the ongoing Beta hasn’t been confirmed, just yet. So what does that mean?
Given the fact that the Beta is about to end soon on October 16, it now seems highly unlikely to get Zombies gameplay. This means players will only get to dive into this experience after launch.
Modern Warfare 3 will be overloaded with nostalgia
Sledgehammer’s game will feature tons of elements from the past. For example, there will be 16 remastered maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. Players who have grown up with classic COD games will be able to revisit them. However, new players will also get the chance to explore iconic locations like Favela, Rust, Highrise, Afghan, Skidrow, and Scrapyard among many others.

According to recent reports, it’s also been revealed that MW3 may get all its seasons based on legacy titles. That is, all the upcoming weapons, modes, and maps will mostly be associated with previous Activision offerings. On top of that, the iconic series villain Vladimir Makarov is also coming back. Now that’s actually going to be an icing on the cake. Especially, for the fans who have enjoyed his appearances in the original MW2 and and its 2011 sequel.
