Rebel Moon is an upcoming Netflix film by Zack Snyder. The director known for projects like 300, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Sucker Punch, and Army of the Dead will soon make a big return with his next sci-fi epic.

However, it looks to be more than just another Snyder movie this time. The filmmaker is extremely passionate for this new world he’s going to introduce. Thus, to make things even more amazing, he’s confirmed a Rebel Moon RPG. The latter will continue the story after the events of his live-action films. And now, we have got more crucial details on the game itself, thanks to Snyder’s recent visit to Gamescom 2023.

The Opening Night Live of this year’s Gamescom was filled with multiple surprises, and few unwanted ones too. However, the audience witnessed an unexpected guest during the event in none other than Snyder himself. He took the stage to reveal the much-awaited trailer of Rebel Moon.

While talking to host Geoff Keighley, Zack mentioned his ambitious Rebel Moon video game as well. He had already confirmed it during a podcast episode of The Nerd Queens, months ago. However, this time, he decided to drop extra information. Snyder told Keighley that Super Evil Megacorp is developing the large-scale RPG.

Super Evil Megacorp was founded more than a decade ago, in 2012. And it’s spread across 11 countries.

Speaking of recognition, SEMC has received many accolades so far. In 2015, it won the Apple Design Award for their mobile title Vainglory. A year later, the company picked another trophy for this game at the Esports Industry Awards. Following the lockdown period, the studio shifted its focus on fully remote operations only.

Earlier this year, SEMC partnered with Netflix for an unknown project. Now, it’s been revealed to be the Rebel Moon game based on Zack Snyder’s movie. The latter will arrive this year on December 22. It will be followed by a sequel, scheduled to release on April 19, 2024. As for the RPG, a launch date is yet to be announced. Given its massive scale, however, one can expect it to arrive at some point in 2025.
