While Switch gets so many of the latest games published for its platform, it’s almost been forever since a Call of Duty title has last appeared on the platform. Let’s find out when was the last time a COD game appeared for Nintendo.
Call of Duty and Nintendo: a long-distance story
Perhaps for the Nintendo fans, Call of Duty might sound like a long and distant dream beyond the reaches of the platform. However, Call of Duty was very much present for Nintendo in the by-gone era of gaming. The COD games have made their way to both handheld and home consoles.
For example, GameCube saw the release of the older COD titles like Finest Hour and Big Red One in 2004 and 2005, respectively. Besides this, the main titles, such as Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops II, have been released on the Wii and Wii U. Some of the titles have also been ported for the Nintendo DS consoles as well.

However, the sad reality right now is that the COD games are nowhere to be seen for the Switch platform of Nintendo. This might be because of the extensive space that Call of Duty games incorporates. In fact, COD Vanguard had released a special patch to solve this issue just so that players can have space to download other games on their devices.
Perhaps if Switch is able to have a larger storage size for itself, it could probably run the latest Call of Duty titles and the Nintendo users won’t be devoid of the same. In fact, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remaster is in the works for the Switch according to a fresh rumor that has been circulating recently.
