After waiting almost eight years for a sequel or a remake of the PlayStation 4 hit Bloodborne, fans got something very special: Lies of P. For those unaware of this title or its existence Lies of P is a soul-like game set in a fictional city designed after Victorian-era London with some steampunk flair added to it.

The main protagonist, Lies of P Stars P, is a character based on Pinocchio, a robot that sets out to help its creator and/or father, Gepetto. The game turned out to be very good and proved a success, and maybe that’s why Neowiz Games, round 8 Studio, are already planning a DLC. Why can that DLC be based on?

Lies of P is getting a brand new DLC sometime in the future; let’s discuss where the developer can take this story!

The similarities between Lies of P’s story and Bloodborne cannot be overstated. From finding a weird power source underneath the main city to a substance that normally makes others evil not affecting players at all, this story checks all the boxes.

Hence, if one has to predict, then maybe Lies of P would go back in time. Bloodborne’s DLC, The Old Hunters, took them into the Hunter’s Nightmare, which was a place in the past but was destroyed. This speculation comes from the fact that everything Lies of P does is very similar to Bloodborne. In fact, from its main story points to its introduction to bosses, this game does not spare a single opportunity to tell players how similar it is to that game.

Lies of P start when someone beckons P into the city of Krat. The city is inexplicably run over by the robots that were designed to serve humans. And P is somehow the only one still sane enough to try and save it from being burned to ashes. Eventually, players are told that the technological revolution that they see was brought about after the detection of an unusual power source called Ergo underneath the city.

Similarly, Bloodborne is set in the city of Yharnam, where players enter in search of healing blood. This blood was harvested from creatures that were discovered under Yharnam, and this blood causes those who use it too much to go mad and even turn into weird monsters.

Here’s hoping the developers of Lies of P do as good a job with its DLC as they did with the original game.

How about that Bloodborne remake, though?

After all, Bluepoint has established itself as a studio that is highly capable of developing brilliant-looking remakes while keeping the charm of the original game in mind.

Ever since they announced Demon Souls, there has been no update on what they are working on. Some say it’s a remake of Bloodborne; others say it’s a sequel to Bloodborne; and some who do not mind going too far say they are working on both.
