Nintendo Switch is getting a number of games very soon, from Super Mario RPG Remake to Super Mario Bros. Wonder. And let’s not forget the physical version of Red Dead Redemption. Many think of 2023 as Nintendo Switch’s last hurrah, but there’s a lot more to come, it seems.
In 2024, Nintendo is preparing to launch a bunch of titles for their hybrid system. But one title is unique in its own way, and it’s not even a first-party game. It’s a third-party title that would be coming to West for the very first time ever!

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is a unique title, both in gameplay and art style. It plays like a roguelike JRPG hybrid. And it looks pretty unique with its characters and world design in the vein of Chibi style.
No matter how tough and challenging the game might be when played, it will always look pretty interesting. The best part is that developer and publisher Spike Chunsoft has announced that this game will come to the Nintendo Switch in both digital and physical form. This means fans who wish to have a collectible physical copy of this unique game will have it on day 1.
This is the sixth game in the Shiren the Wanderer series, and for those unaware, it plays like other games in the series too. Players roam around randomized dungeons, defeating monsters and clearing those dark locations. The developers have made it a point that, besides already-known monsters, this game is set to feature a bunch of new monster designs.

It’s an exciting prospect to be able to play this kind of roguelike game on a Nintendo Switch, and its portability really escalates the experience. The game will be launching for the Nintendo Switch on February 27, 2024, in the USA.
A great focus on the story of this game
It looks like Chunsoft has decided to spend some extra time designing a worthwhile story for this title. It is being said that the story would be set between the events of Shiren the Wanderer GB: Monster of Moonlight Village and Shiren the Wanderer 4: The Eye of God and the Devil’s Navel. This means it’s more of a prequel than a sequel, which is exciting news for the fans of the platform.
