For anyone who gives close attention to Battle Passes in every season, the current one is no different. Among all the information available to players is a countdown stating the number of days remaining for the battle pass. And as of this writing, the Season 6 will end in 68 days.

It simply means that after the mid-season content, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will cease to get any further updates. Now it’s already known that Modern Warfare III will release on November 10. Throughout its run till December, it won’t be getting its first season.

Combining this situation with Modern Warfare II’s Season 6 Battle Pass timer, it appears that MWIII’s Season 1 may start on December 5, 2023. Why? The ongoing update for the latest game will last till December 5. Hence, players may expect Activision to drop the first key update for its new FPS premium on this day. But it’s just a speculation right now and should be taken with a grain of salt unless anything official gets confirmed.

What will MWIII offer to fans?

Hardcore COD lovers are pumped for 2023’s anticipated entry. Developed by Sledgehammer studio, it will be a direct sequel of the existing installment. In terms of its campaign, the game will bring back iconic antagonist Vladimir Makarov. He was last seen in 20211’s MW3. This time, he won’t stop in order to destroy the world while also posing a serious threat to Task Force 141.

Speaking about Multiplayer, MWIII will reveal classic movement mechanics after a long time. It will also add 16 remastered maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. But there’s more to watch out for!

Zombies are also coming to the world of Modern Warfare, thanks to this year’s COD offering. They will appear inside an open-world mode based on the PvE format. Players will have to fight hordes of the undead to finish extreme missions and extract successfully. Oh, there will be a Carry Forward feature as well. It will enable the users to keep their purchased content, like bundles and cosmetics, from MWII.
