Battlefield 2042 is out now, but the fans aren’t happy about it, as the game is already in troubled waters. DICE launched this much-awaited game in November 2021 and it had a disastrous launch resulting in fans and community raging over it. No doubt the devs are trying hard to fix the issue, but these efforts probably aren’t proving enough.

In fact, the game has been witnessing some new bugs, glitches, and much more. It looks like all the updates and fixes are negatively affecting the game. Recently, fans witnessed a new bug causing difficulties in connecting to the EA’s server, making this game unplayable.

However, there’s a remedy to this issue that might help fix this frustrating problem.

Recently, the fans have been getting an “Unable to Load Persistence Data” error message while trying to hop in the game. And just after this, players get moved back to the main menu of the game.

Apart from this, the error also asked the players to check their internet connection, which became another cause for frustration. It’s likely that the origin of this issue is from the developer’s side unless there’s really something wrong with the players’ internet.

Naturally, it is recommended for the fans to check their internet connection. Also, restarting routers could help fix this problem. In fact, the fans could also consider restarting the entire system. And if the problem still occurs, then there’s definitely something wrong with the EA’s server.

Apart from this, the fans must make sure the game is running on the latest version. Updating the game can help eradicate this problem.

And if all the above options cannot fix this issue, then too there’s a way out. The last hope is disabling the cross-play feature of the game. In fact, this has helped some fans quickly fix this issue.

Disabling cross-play is easy for PC and PlayStation fans and the option is available on the main menu. Xbox fans can disable this feature from the ‘Online Safety and Family’ options in the settings option. Know more about it here.
