To this, Amouranth replied by recalling her days of posting content on DeviantArt. She told that she wanted to find a name that wasn’t “too feminine or too masculine,” as she would use to do link cosplays. Moreover, wanting to not make her gender obvious, she also shared a laugh about how she tricked many people online as they were surprised to know that she was a girl.

Moving on, she exclaimed that she looked for a unisex name and subsequently found Amouranth, which prevails to this day. Furthermore, she explained the meaning of the name. She said, “It’s usually spelled a-m-a-r-a-n-t-h, like the flower. I think it stands for unfading love. So it actually like that’s what the name means, but it’s actually like good because it symbolizes my love for animals because the Amour is love and Amouranth itself is unfading so it’s unfading love now.” Thus, with that, if one didn’t know, this is how Amouranth had decided on her name.
