Nintendo and Rockstar are among the biggest game developers. While Nintendo boasts some of the biggest stars in the gaming universe, the Grand Theft Auto titles are among the most sold games ever made. GTA V is still a fan-favorite title and even after a decade of its release, players still spend thousands of hours in its expansive open-world setting. The tone of GTA and Nintendo titles couldn’t be more different. So it’s hard to imagine a crossover. But what if?

A recently surfaced video has imagined a collaboration between these two powerhouses. In the YouTube short, there are familiar faces being created GTA style. You may be wondering, what would happen if the two worlds collided?

A recently surfaced YouTube short seems to give an idea of something like this. Using AI, a fan has managed to bring Nintendo characters to life in the GTA universe. The renditions look incredible. And one can actually visualize Mario being all macho trying to pull off dangerous missions in Los Santos as well.

In the video, Donkey Kong looks suave in his black suit and shades over his eyes. While the mischievous ape is generally viewed as having all brawn and no brains, the character does look like he’ll be doing good in the GTA universe. On the other hand, Princess Peach looks like a serene beauty in all pink attire and riding her motorcycle.

Luigi does look way more focused than one may be used to witnessing him. His facial expression suggests he isn’t all too shy to do some dirty work. Mario looks scary, but the large red “M” on his chest does have a sort of assurance to his overall appearance. Surprisingly, Toad in the GTA universe has a nose! While it’s not an accurate take on the otherwise bubbly character, there isn’t much to complain about.

Rosalina looks like she’s doing well for herself as she is seen counting a bunch of coins. However, Bowser looks just as scary as fans remember him from childhood Mario games. The monster resembles The Lizard from Spider-Man.

Overall, the characters have their unique GTA-esque appeal. And while this is unlikely to happen, one can dream. Another interesting take would be GTA characters as Nintendo characters. Imagine Trevor in Mario’s dungarees.
