Fans not impressed with the metaverse-centric collaboration of Epic Games and Lego
For those not familiar with the term very well, metaverse, in simple words, means a social network of 3D virtual worlds. It involves real-time live interaction of the people with each other through the help of augmented reality.

Here’s what the CEO of the LEGO Group, Niels B Christiansen, said about how this partnership will focus on the kids:
“We believe there is huge potential for them to develop life-long skills such as creativity, collaboration, and communication through digital experiences. But we have a responsibility to make them safe, inspiring and beneficial for all.”
Moreover, Epic Games’ CEO and Co-Founder Tim Sweeney also said that they are “excited to come together to build a space in the metaverse that’s fun, entertaining, and made for kids and families.”
Meanwhile, gaming fans didn’t seem too impressed with this latest announcement. Most of them were not able to understand why this project is focusing on the kids anyways. According to them, it’s not the right thing to expose the kids to this category so early. Others were just simply against the concept of metaverse itself.
“What has the internet come to”, wrote one frustrated user.
