The 2022 summer events season has had been tumultuous so far. And according to recent reports, fans waiting for EA Play Live Event are bound to be disappointed. For the uninitiated, even since 2016, Electronic Arts has ditched E3 to hold its own Live Event held around the same time. The event gives the community a peek into what EA had planned for the year. However, the same can’t be said for this year.
IGN recently revealed EA would not host its traditional live event this year since “things aren’t lining up to show you everything on one date.” As expected, the announcement has caught fans by surprise.

EA cancels the summer Live Event
EA Play Live Event is a massive boon for fans interested in checking out the company’s upcoming offerings. This is because not only can they get up to speed on the latest developments on their favorite titles, but could also try that roster for themselves. Significantly, EA currently has some massive games under production.
For instance, the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises are being worked on by BioWare, while Respawn Entertainment works on the upcoming Star Wars games. But that’s not all, as EA’s slate also includes a Dead Space remake, which is sure to get fans all excited.
However, fans would need to contain their excitement as EA could take a page out of Sony’s books and hold smaller reveal events throughout the year.

In a statement to IGN, an Electronic Arts representative said:
“We have exciting things happening at our world-class studios and this year we’ll reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year!”
However, that statement has done little to ease the community’s unrest on the matter.
So, they basically have nothing new or even remotely interesting to show. And since rencent fiascos they cannot risk a PR disaster, so they just decided to cancel the event for this year. lol
What happened to EA? They were pretty decent at publishing games late 90s & early 00s.

Safe to say, fans are not happy with EA’s decision.
We need another year to find a way to hide our blatant scripting and lack of innovation. As well as gambling

It must have been a learning experience.
