

PlayStation owners get ready for a new State of Play event in just a couple of days. The company recently announced a special Gran Turismo 7 edition of the State of Play event. The event is all set to be live-streamed on February 2, 2022 (Wednesday) at 2 pm PST. Moreover, PlayStation released a dedicated blog to announce this grand news. Other than this, Sony Interactive Entertainment also posted some new footage on its Facebook page.

According to the official blog, the new edition in the classic sim racing franchise is getting a 30 minute new PlayStation 5 gameplay details. Interestingly, this is the very first State of Play event of 2022, but unfortunately, fans are not too excited about it. To put it simply, this massive event failed to win fans over, mainly because users are expecting a lot more from PlayStation in 2022.

Gran Turismo 7 aims to be one of the most intriguing next-gen releases of 2022 with over 400 cars to collect. However, unfortunately, not much information about the upcoming racing title is available at this moment.
But with its release date drawing closer, Sony has started to generate the hype with new trailers and events. As from the trailer, we can definitely expect a more immersive experience with the latest dual sense controller, and other highly anticipated features.

After Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, Sony has to step up to the plate. Well, luckily, Sony Interactive Entertainment does have tons of popular exclusives on its plates such as God of War, Gran Turismo, and some upcoming big releases like Spider-Man, a new Wolverine game, and many more.

To that end, the majority of players are also hoping to see some more game announcements or releases during this State of Play event. Maybe some new details on God of War: Ragnarok or even the Wolverine game they have been working on? Only time will tell.
