Only on PlayStation!?! What a twist!

In other words "We're gonna milk this franchise before we leave, so there's nothing left for Microsoft"

This is called a monopoly.

I think it makes sense to keep COD on PlayStation. It’s not like it would take any money away from them, in fact it’d probably make them more. Nobody would buy an Xbox just for COD.

COD is slowly but surely winning the internet back
— trebug (@xtrebug) January 26, 2022
Makes sense. No reason to pull it immediately, that’s just bad business for everyone involved. It’s safe to assume that for as long as COD is released annually, it will continue to be multiplatform.

is this the first you’ve heard of a WZ2? curious as to what that looks like

If Xbox likes the money they make from Playstaion COD 2023.I can see them selling it for $70 on Playstation and having it on gamepass. You get Playstation player money and at the same time give them an option to play it free on Xbox.

No official word is out yet, so maybe the 2023 title will get a different name.
What the hell is Warzone 2? 😂
— Lidor Atias (@AtiasLidor) January 25, 2022
Wait they're actually doing Warzone 2? I honestly thought they would just keep updating current Warzone for a loooong time.
— MHM (@MrHooboMaster) January 25, 2022
Huh? How? Am I honestly opinion, if you're a PS fan that like COD you better enjoy it for the next 2 years and that's it.

Will they be cross gen though?

That doesn’t seem like “after the Xbox acquisition” if it’s only for games going up to the end of 2023. Those games will be in development before the acquisition completes and probably already are in development.
