Nintendo always has multiple updates or events to release for their games. Undoubtedly, they also came up with a Christmas event for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is the second best-selling game for the Switch console. Fans adore this game, but there is lately a lot of hate for it.
Many ACNH and Nintendo fans believe New Horizons have already died or is extremely close to its death. The reason for these speculations is the lack of updates. Since the game came out in 2020, Nintendo didn’t release many updates for the game, which led to these scenarios. Now it’s affecting the latest event.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons release their Christmas event
The Nintendo game has announced via its official account the special Christmas event, Toy Day. This event takes place in December and is based on the tradition where someone dresses up as Santa clause to distribute presents to the kids. The players also take on the role of Santa on this day.
Happy Toy Day, everyone! I hope you get a chance to meet up with Santa's helper Jingle today and join him in delivering gifts. He'll be here all day long, so it's not too late to hop in and have some fun. Say hi for me! pic.twitter.com/SXF2EyMkGh

On December 24, players can spot Santa’s helper, the reindeer named Jingle. The ACNH players then accompany Jingle to deliver gifts to fellow residents of a player’s island. This is an event that happens throughout the day. But once the date changes to December 25, the event is over.

Players can get items called Jingle’s gifts from this event. Usually, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can get Toy day sleigh and Toy day stockings.
Players can’t buy these items aside from Toy Day. But if they don’t want them, then selling them for some bells is an option. The stocking can get around 500 Bells, while the sleight will fetch a handsome 20,000 bells.
How did fans react to this event?
It is a yearly event, and most Animal Crossing players might already possess the events from this limited-time event. They instead want a good upgrade, but they have possibly given up on that hope too. Let’s look at some reactions.
We’re all busy not playing this anymore because you let the game fizzle out too soon :/

Everyone begging for new content does realize that this game normally doesn’t update right? The events are the same – the prizes – the recipes. If your desperate for new content you’re playing the wrong game.

I wanna know if there will be anymore updates for New Horizon. There was supposed to be a Legend of Zelda to come to Animal Crossing but never arrived then Happy Home was released and was the last major update to the game and nothing else was given to players what gives?
