Brought forward by BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive, the single-player video game took gamers on a journey never ventured before. The age of robots, the dominative environment, and in the midst of this, a stray cat conquering the evil forces. And just like this, the game conquered many titles, leaving fans enlightened and high-spirited.
Stray steals titles at The Game Awards 2022 to be recognized as the Best Indie Game
Coming in 2022, Stray had great competition ahead of itself. Games like Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and many more made 2022 a spectacular year. Though Stray missed the shot at the Game of the Year Award, it surely took many prestigious titles in its quiver.

At The Game Awards 2022, Stray went on to be crowned the Best Independent Game, Best Indie, and Best Debut Indie. To sum it up, Stray has become the best indie title for the year 2022. And why wouldn’t it be? Notably, the unique idea of showing the perspective of a stray cat, battling its way through evil robots and domination, only to shower light on its people at the end, did the job to entertain gamers.
Hence, Stray became a much-loved and much-appreciated video game in the community. While the community speed ran the game as well, the journey was given a token with three titles at The Game Awards 2022. Moreover, as soon as the news arrived for the lovers of the game, they took no time to pour in their reactions and celebrate the accomplishment of the indie game.
