The rumors of Bungie developing a new IP in PvP mode were out for a long time. The job openings posted by the company hiring developers for Unreal Engine instead of their own engine raised eyebrows for a new title coming among fans. Now, after months of speculations, Bungie has finally announced its latest IP, Marathon during the latest PlayStation Showcase. This game is the embodiment of Bungie’s attempt to revamp itself, as it has released an IP after almost a decade.
Many streamers and fans, however, loved Bungie’s attempt to try out something new, with their own personal touch. They felt like the game has come like a breath of fresh air in a world full of similar-looking games. One of the first people to praise the games were prominent streamers xQc and Dr Disrespect. While streaming, both shared their views about the game, with the Doc saying fans need more games like this.
Dr DisRespect wants more multiplayer games like Marathon

Recently on stream, Dr Disrespect reacted to the announcement trailer of Bungie’s latest IP. At first, he was not accepting of the concept video and wanted gameplay to be shown. Though as the trailer went on, it captured the attention of the streamer. But at the end of the trailer, the Doc still wanted some gameplay reveal. He questioned, “Are we gonna get some gameplay on it or was it just a CGI? Come on man!”
The streamer also lauded the Bungie developers for developing such an intriguing game. He concluded saying, “Good! We need large-scale multiplayer games. Something at Triple-A level.”

The latest Bungie IP Marathon has got the stamp of approval from the Doc. Though, there was another streamer who also loved the new concept of the game.
xQc reacts to Bungie’s new game

Like Doc, this former Overwatch pro also viewed the announcement trailer of Bungie’s latest IP on stream. However, at first, he thought it was Destiny 2, but was surprised to find out it was a trailer for a new game Marathon.
The trailer left him wanting for more, and he could only say, “What the f**k! That looks nice though.” He also laid out praises for the developers for focusing on the art style and its sheer grandeur.
