This year is one for the records; 2023 is when a number of much-awaited games finally get launched. First, fans got a launch date for Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and then Insomniac gave a release window for Spider-Man 2. And now, Bethesda too has released a huge update on their magnum opus, Starfield!

The game was announced years ago, when Zenimax was still independent, and in true Bethesda fashion, director Todd Howard kept giving fans several hints here and there. But now he finally came on-screen to give us a launch date!

Bethesda’s RPGs are always an experience to remember; these games allow players to live that fantasy of a free man who can go anywhere and do anything. This upcoming open-world sci-fi adventure plans to take that to an even higher level.

This game is set in space and would allow players to fly from planet to planet on their spaceship. Of course, it would have a story too, and as usual with any other Bethesda game, it would have the option to be played in the third or first person.

While fans were indeed hyped for this game, Bethesda kept teasing a launch date without actually giving one away. And it is common knowledge that fans are happiest when they actually know the launch date for the game they are most hyped for.

And that day has finally arrived. Bethesda recently launched a gameplay trailer for Starfield, the second half of which featured Todd Howard talking about the game’s development. He said, “We have poured ourselves into this game, even I am surprised how much we can pour. It is large.”

And then he went on to reveal that fans would get a better look at this game on June 11, 2023. And he also confirmed that the game would be launching on September 6, 2023.

Is it The Elder Scrolls VI’s turn now?

The big thing here is the fact that Bethesda will soon be moving ahead with the development of The Elder Scrolls VI. This would be a sequel to 2011’s Skyrim, and let us not forget how people are waiting for this one.

Starfield is a new IP; on the other hand, The Elder Scrolls is something that has already proven its mettle. So, it only makes sense for the fans to be hyped for that game too.
