There are many aspects that capture the eye of a gamer. Many of these elements are passively embedded into the mind of the gamer, without them even knowing about it. To give an example, let’s take the GTA Franchise. Seeing the Rockstar logo, while logging into the game, is a very satisfying feeling.
Logos play a crucial role in capturing the attention of a gamer. Thus, Remedy Entertainment is changing its logo after 20 years. This dramatic change is to incorporate their new and ongoing mission.
The studio has decided to expand its reach in the gaming community. For this, the devs are planning to release multiple titles into the industry, instead of their routine singles. Thus, to add more flair to these decisions, the company is changing its logo after a long time.
Ironically, the old logo itself tries to reemphasize their marque product. But as they are venturing into the new generation, the devs feel a renewed touch is needed for their logo. “The bullet in the letter R in the old logo represented the era of Max Payne, but the Remedy of now is much bigger than a single game; we have a whole portfolio of games, new and old,” stated the Studio regarding their vision and future in the industry.
With the announcement of this new logo, the developers have also teased their new upcoming title. They declared Alan Wake 2’s arrival in 2023. The Alan Wake franchise is yet another interesting concept that Remedy brought to life. The second part is expected to include a much wider narrative, including storylines from popular side characters, like Wake’s friend Barry and Sheriff Sarah Baker.
