“We Are Considering Various Ideas Within the Company”- Square Enix on Strengthening Development With Remasters

Square Enix has impressed the gaming community with the release of  Final Fantasy 16. The developers have been doing some commendable work in the past few years. Although when compared to most of its rivals, Square Enix is unable to pull off consistency. Their absence and long-held radio silence are affecting the gamers’ bond with the brand. 

A new candid interview with the developers has now revealed some interesting developments in the future blueprint of Square Enix. The revelations hint at some exciting forthcoming titles that are being developed under the brand right now. Following Final Fantasy 16, these exciting ideas might just be the right succession for the company. 

Square Enix To Consider Remastering Some Old Classics?

The makers were asked about the gaps Square Enix has been having between two consecutive releases. There was no specific justification provided in the answers, besides some assurance on the quality of forthcoming projects. “We hope that this reinforcement of our organization will promote the development of not only major titles but also new IPs under the new management team”, they stated. 

The company is going through an internal transition phase. Attributing this reason the developers demanded some time from the community as they vision to come back with a lot of fun surprises.  “We will refrain from sharing information about new titles but we are considering various ideas within the company and hope that you will look forward to forthcoming announcement”, the makers added.

Fans were delighted as the words clearly hint at an imminent announcement of upcoming titles. The expectations are evidently high after the successful campaign of Final Fantasy 16. Square Eniz also teased the gaming fans with some more old cult classics titles in consideration to remaster. With the recent numbers that have been achieved by major gaming giants by playing on the nostalgic card, the idea seems like a highly bankable possibility. 

Just after the statements surfaced on the internet, fans had their own picks for Square Enix to remaster. While most of the fans rooted for Xenogears to get a remake, some had other different suggestions. From Parasite Eve to Chrono Trigger, the fan suggestions went on. Hopefully, as hinted by the Square Enix officials themselves, we wouldn’t have to wait too long for the next upcoming titles.
